Contemporary Value of Schiller′s Thought of Aesthetic Education

摘要: 席勒美育思想的影响是极为广泛而深远的。两百多年来,他所主张的通过“审美教育”的方式来培养完美人性,进而达到改良社会,建设理想国家制度的观点,已经成为不同时期、不同国度人们共同的文化遗产。面对我国社会主义现代化进程中出现的种种社会问题,重新认识席勒美育思想的深刻内涵,充分发掘其美育思想的当代价值,对于我们建设有中国特色的社会主义和谐社会无疑具有十分重要的理论借鉴意义。

Abstract:  Schiller′s theory of aesthetic education is extremely profound and farreaching. Over 200 years, his ideas of fostering perfect human nature, thus improving society and constructing ideal state system through "aesthetic education of man", have already become shared cultural legacy despite times and nationalities. In addressing all sorts of social problems arising during the process of China′s socialist modernization, it is of great theoretical significance for us to reexamine the profoundness of Schiller′s aesthetic education and fully cultivate its contemporary value so as to better construct socialist harmonious society with Chinese characteristics.
