Abstract: As culture has a close relationship with community, its maintenance is an important representation of community selforganization. Although, with the propulsion of modernization, the original cultural feature in the urban community wanes, and the cultural maintenance weakened, it is not necessarily the case that the community culture is incorrigibly exhausted. Now that community culture has so many functions like: a carrier for modeling the communes and satisfying their diverse needs, a basis of community selfconformity, a spiritual tie of maintaining the union of community, and a precondition of the existence and development of community civilization achievements, rebuilding it is an effective path to the selforganization by perfecting cultural system, nurturing modern community spirit, establishing share mechanism, and highlighting cultural personalities.
