摘要: 推销员威利·娄曼的一生是悲剧性的,然而,与其说他的人生悲剧与社会政治相关联,不如说是他本人固守的社会表演意识才使他走上了一条人生的不归之路。从他懂得人生目标与社会表演存在内在关系时开始,他在社会表演形象的维持,表演分裂之防止等方面都进行了不懈的努力。他始终坚持他的社会表演观,自始至终都拒绝从社会表演世界中走出来。父子关系因此而恶化,父子之间由此而冲突不断,威利·娄曼的悲剧不单是一曲社会政治悲剧,更是一场社会表演悲剧。

Abstract: The life of the salesman Willy Loman is a tragedy. However, it is better to say that it's his keeping to the social performance consciousness that leads him to the blind alley of his life than attribute his tragedy to the social politics. Since he understood the inner relationship between his life goal and the social performance, he has made every effort to keep his social performing image and prevent from disrupting. He sticks to his ideas of social performance, and refuses to walk out throughout his life, which has worsened his relationship with his son and caused many conflicts. The tragedy of Willy Lowman has something to do with the social politics, but more with the social performance.
