公共领域展开的私己空间——从纯个人问题求助类电视节目看“媒介功能的延伸”

摘要: 媒介作为社会公共领域,其基本功能在于推进人的社会化。而近年出现的那些纯个人问题求助类电视节目,则完全把纯属一己的话语投放到现代媒介这样的公共领域,所表达的问题也完全属于非公共性问题。这显然是对“公众领域”经典命题的一种撼动,也是对于媒介功能的新的拓展和延伸。媒介延伸人体,为的是使个体人最高程度地社会化。而媒介功能的延伸,则把原本作为公共话语平台的媒介,延伸到纯个人化空间。这无疑是对高度社会化之后的个体人的关注。对于把人从文化工业中由于工具理性极度膨胀造成的种种束缚中解脱出来,也有重要意义。

Abstract:


Media push the human being into socialization, while the helpseeking programs for individuals in recent years expose private sphere matters to the public, which, obviously, challenges the classical proposition of public sphere and extends the media function. Moreover, media as an extension of the human body, socialize an individual maximally, whilst the extensions of its function makes the platform for public discourse extend to the individual space. The extension frees individuals from the boundary of extreme inflation of instrumental rationality resulting from the cultural industry.
