Abstract: The series of rewritten mythology causes a sensation both in the creation circle and in the criticism circle. For this kind of work, authors must face the difficulties of how to mix the resources of ancient mythology, indigenous culture and modern principles of humanities so as to bring forth the new from the old. By taking Binu as the study case, we can examine the characteristics of the connotation and metaphor of this kind of work. At the beginning of the 21st century, a look back on the spiritual fables and national mythology of the ancient time, can make a bridge of cultural inheritance and development across tradition and modern.
