Problems and Solutions for Public Participation in the"We Media"Era
——A Case Study of 2012 (Rural Development Institute, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Beijing 100732)Abstract: 〖WTBZ] In the "We Media" era, social mobilization works in a way that facilitates wider social participation in group events, however, due to its features of communication, "We Media" also presents new problems for public participation, which include abstract anger and collective revelry, the "unstructured" state under populism, and the irrational disruption in social discourse and activities. To reshape orderly political participation from the citizens, the government should not only have wisdom in governance, but also adopt the new mindset that is responsive to the social development. To cope with the problems of public participation in the age of "We Media", the only possible choice is to establish and perfect institutionalized rights protection mechanism, facilitate the smooth operation of the mechanism that ensures free expression and protection of the citizen' s interests, and to enhance the negotiation capacity of the vulnerable groups in interests synthesizing and policymaking.

It has become an important theoretical and practical project in China' s political development to increase the channels for political participation, encourage effective political participation, improve the systems of political participation and to promote more orderly political participation by the citizens. Political participation involves action or behavior on the part of the citizen or citizen groups to influence the decisionmaking, formation, operation and regulation of the political system. Orderly political participation is to affect the decisionmaking and running of the political system by the citizen or citizen groups in a legal way and through institutionalized channels for political participation. Orderly political participation should be lawful, orderly, rational and moderate, which are the four criteria for evaluation.

Ingmar Bergman:An Image Poet Nurtured by the
Inspired by the western cultural ideal of a perfect balance of the Hellenic and Hebraic traditions, Ingmar Bergman has explored a series of intensely religious and metaphysical themes in his films and developed a set of incomparably rich interpretations with his remarkable use of the language of images. For a deeper understanding of his works, it's necessary to adopt a broader cultural perspective and be aware of the cultural traditions of Hellenism and Hebraism that have both influenced Ingmar Bergman. As an artist who enjoyed a happy childhood and famously "based all creations on childhood impressions", Ingmar Bergman has been receptive to various cultural traditions and is highly eclectic in his art. Moving beyond the Christian concept of "sin and punishment", he strives to integrate "consciousness" with "conscience", and "knowing" with "doing" with a view to unifying life and art and combing reason and faith for a common goal. For the development of individual soul, Bergman embraces the existentialist stance and advocates a proper fusion of the Hellenic and the Hebraic in a person. His films, stylistically described as "excitement in serenity", bring together the aesthetic and the religious, the artistic and the sacred in a state of harmonious interaction.

Income distribution acts upon the industrial structure through its effect on consumption and factor supply. The slow development of China' s service industry is mainly due to the widening income distribution gap and the sluggish growth of domestic demand. To avoid the "middleincome trap", China must accelerate the transformation of the mode of economic development, restructure traditional industries into modern manufacturing and service industries, and foster the growth of service economy. At present, a variety of measures should be taken to reduce inequality in income distribution, to release the potential of domestic demand, and to facilitate the transformation and upgrade of the industrial structure through the improvement of the consumption structure.

Mei Niang as Mei Niang, a female writer, was born in Vladivostok balkanized by Tsarist Russia and grew up in Manchuria invented by Imperial Japan. She once studied in Japan, living in Osaka, the center of media during the war period and later became active in Beijing' s literary circles during the period of Japanese occupation. In the later part of the civil war, she moved to Beitou, Taipei. Before the founding of the New China, her husband unfortunately died in the Taipinglun Shipwreck, and though she herself was conceiving another of their children, Mei Niang, taking two little daughters, determinedly went back to Beiping from Taiwan via Shanghai, and devoted herself to the socialist cultural construction. Despite various sufferings from the political movements, she continued to write. Her legendary father generation and grandchildren generation, her own rich life experience, her writing career and its connection with the social environment have all made her case a perplexing and sophisticated one and thus an epitome of China' s hundredyear evolution. In other words, it is worthwhile to sort out the life and career of Mei Niang since looking into her life and writing career sheds light on the crosscentury transformation of China and even the East Asia from the end of the 19th century to the early 21st century.

The crisis of colonization by the imperial forces in China in the Late Qing Dynasty triggered among the knowledge workers various responses and caused noticeable changes in knowledge production. The abolition of the imperial examination system means that the traditional knowledge production system that centered on the examination system was no longer legitimate in organizing and synthesizing the existing knowledge and hence intervening in the historical progress. The "Chinese Classics", the repository of the traditional elite culture, could hardly survive as a vital cultural force in a time when Chinese culture declined and Western culture became dominant. While the sudden rise of translation created opportunities for new knowledge production, it also exposed the country to onesided cultural import from the master nations. Amidst these difficulties, the printing and publishing businesses played a pivotal role in knowledge production and thus helped to restructure the responsive relationship between knowledge, culture and society.

The injustice in the case of "Hu Feng' s counterrevolutionary cliques" has been commonly acknowledged since China' s reform and opening up, but, due to some deepseated prejudices, Hu Feng' s literary theory is still considered as deviating from the dominant ideology and therefore faulty. However, the only way to judge a theory is through practice rather than by the standards of another theory. Artistic practice over the past decades has fully demonstrated that Hu' s theory sheds more light on the principles of art than the mainstream ideology, which has actually hindered the free development of art. Hu Feng, as a faithful follower of Lu Xun' s literary views, fully embodies the cultural ideal of the May Fourth Movement and has greatly contributed to the development of new Chinese literature. Although Hu Feng was discredited, his theory survives since the artistic views developed by many later writers are either a reworking or elaboration of Hu' s theory. Hence, it is highly necessary to reevaluate Hu Feng' s literary theory in terms of its practical significance.
