19世纪末和20世纪初的早期欧美电影表现出鲜明的吸引力特征,尤其戏法片借由停机再拍、二次叠印等技巧以及魔术斗法、异域表演、亡魂厉鬼等内容,带给观众强烈的耸动性体验。早期电影(尤其是戏法片)对于身体耸动性的展示具有多元化和多样性的特征;其中不断变幻的“花招”和“幻象”,作为身体感官的重要训练手段之一,为早期观众提供了适应快速变化的都市现代性的途径和契机。

Abstract:
European and American films of early period demonstrated distinctive “attractions”during the late 19th and early 20th century, and the magic trick films in particular, created effects of body sensationalism by illusions and tricks. The special visual effects such as stop trick and superimposition made “sudden morphs” on big screen; in the meantime various themes like exoticism, ghost, scifi and magic brought gothic sensational experience to early audiences. These changing tricks and illusions created by films became an important means of training the body senses, thus providing an effective channel and chance for the audiences of the early cinematic period to adapt to the fast changing urban modernity.
