摘要: 中国画家群体的社会角色在清末民初时期发生了根本性的转变,由“士人”或“匠人”转变为专门以绘画为志业的现代意义上的艺术家。借助知识社会学的分析框架,可以揭示出绘画知识的形态和价值在那段时期所经历的嬗变历程及机制,包括正当化、学科化和神圣化三个方面,从而最终成为一种有效的文化资本,促进了中国画家社会角色的转变。

Abstract: In late Qing Dynasty and early Republic China, the social role of Chinese artist groups experienced fundamental changes from "scholars" or "craftsmen" to professional artists in modern sense. Within the framework of knowledge sociology, the paper probes into the transition, as well as its underlying mechanism, of painting modality and value during that period, including how painting knowledge was justified, specialized and sanctified to be valid capital and to facilitate the socialrole switching of Chinese artists.
