Abstract:  As China’s economy is transferring from highspeed to highquality growth, it is inevitable to take the connotative development path given the current economic situation. The humanoriented new green urbanization will facilitate sustainable and connotative economic development. Conventional urbanization has contributed to rapid economic growth, but also caused serious environmental pollution and massive discharge of garbage. New urbanization, as a new driving force and pattern of economic growth, should not only promote the economy in terms of quantity and speed, but also play a role in environmental governance so as to promote highquality economic growth. The research results show that new green urbanization has a significant role in promoting China’s economic growth by eliminating the economic growth gap among different regions and effectively relieving environmental pollution problems. As the central and western regions have more space to develop green urbanization, we should increase green investment in these regions, accelerate their urbanization process and aim at highquality urbanization so as to give full play to new urbanization and promote sustainable economic growth.
