Reconstructing the LifeWorld: A Case Study of the Daily Physical#br#  Practice by a Woman with Chronic Disease#br#

Abstract: Confined to the traditional role in shouldering family responsibilities and objective disease limitations, women with chronic diseases are in trouble to give play to their subjectivity. Meanwhile, by meditating on their illness and the meaning of life, they manage to adapt to the situation and make full use of resources available to break through their own limitations, reshape various relationships and finally reconstruct the lifeworld and subjectivity. The case in study not only reveals the shackles of chronic diseases and traditional patriarchal cultures on women, but more importantly, present show a woman transforms the shock of diseases into opportunities and resources and accomplishes the subjective construction through daily practice.
