Abstract:

 Cultural deixis is an extended type of deixis, a field of pragmatics which aims at studying how language denote discourse cultural context. As an emerging type of pragmatic deictic study, the theory of cultural deixis is based on some classic expounding on deixis by theorists like Bühler, Lyons, Fillmore, Levinson, etc.. It mainly explores into such core concepts as the definition, ways, features of cultural deixis, cultural deictic center, information definition of cultural deixis as well as its pragmatic rationale.
