Abstract:
Under the implementation of China’s “Universal TwoChild Policy”, the impact of rebirth on employment quality becomes an important reference index influencing urban women’s decision on rebirth and once again draws the attention of the whole society. The study shows that job characteristics and work environment as incentive factors have significant influence on women’s employment quality. Labor relations, work value and social environmentrelated factors belong to nondominant and healthcare factors. Besides, giving birth has a significant negative nonlinear effect on the urban women’s wage rate since the birth of a new child will decrease the mother’s wage rates by 9% 10%, thus verifying the universality of the “childbearing price”. In view of this, both the government and employers should gradually create a sound environment protecting female employment, constantly improve the care support system, enhance fertilityrelated governance, and coordinate between the smooth implementation of the new birth policy and the preservation and appreciation of female human capital.
