Abstract: China′s film censorship has been lasting for near 70 years since the founding of PRC. Generally speaking, although Chinese film industry has gradually developed under the censorship and inspection of related national department and social opinions, needless to say, the present film censorship as a type of ideological management has a restrictive and disciplinary effect on contemporary Chinese films such as the newgeneration directors and their works. Yet we also notice the following phenomenon: since the new century, censorship has promoted and pushed forward the process of stereotyping of Chinese films with its particular logic, objectively causing the marketization of some films. Noticeably, the trial works by the newgeneration directors have entered the internal system. This paper intends to sort out and analyze the phenomenon in terms of film industrial policies and film texts and expound the influence of China′s film censorship on the typeevolution of the newgeneration directors′ works.
