Abstract:

： In the Tang poetry, there are three kinds of creative themes that are closely related to music instruments in Western regions: (1) Pipa and Zhaojun' s Departure from the Frontier; (2) Hujia and Wenji's Return to the Han Dynasty; (3) Konghou and Having Told You Not to Cross the River. This relationship displays three kinds of variety, that is, enrichment, deepening or differentiation, and misunderstanding. The author of this essay attempts to give an interpretation of these varieties as well as causes.
