Abstract:

From the time of Ban Gu to the era of Jian An (196—220), the poem about history shows a tendency to image weakening. Accompany with this weakening, the personal emotion gradually strengthens. Ban Gu' s poems about history, judging from a positive viewpoint, feature a strong image. According to historical records, Ti Ying' s story is very likely to be one of the picture stories Ban Gu often sees. With it, his poems have a strong correspondence. But, later, in the poems about history of Ruan Yu and Wang Can, the narration of the plot seems not to be attached importance to. While the image weakens, the poet' s emotion is highlighted. This tendency is most obviously displayed in Cao zhi' s "Three Goods", which proves that the poem about history is going towards the lyric.
