Abstract: Serving as a link to the change of the film aesthetic culture in the late 1980s, the Chinese film circle in the 1990s takes on a flourishing scene of the multiple changes and reasonable reconstructions of the aesthetic idea, such as the ideological influence under the collision between the Chinese and Western aesthetics, the style transition after the penetration of the market economy, the parallel development of the mainstream film and the commercial film, and the new director group——the rising of the "sixth generation" and the hightech digital film. All these constitute an active tendency of less penetrating and more impetuousness, and produce a significant impact on the development of the Chinese film in this century.

Key words: transition, commercial film, the "sixth generation", reconstruction, aesthetic culture
