Deepening the Aesthetics of the Artistic Reality
——A Probe into the 1980s Chinese Film Aesthetics

Abstract:

Beginning with the recuperation of realism, the 1980s Chinese film greatly concerns about the social reality, bravely envisages the life contradiction, and deeply reflects on the human emotions, all of which drive the film art into a new height. By virtue of paying more attention to the social contradiction and the human emotion as well as the beauty of truthfulness, the realist aesthetics and techniques hold a leading position. And the reflection on history surpasses the level of judging something as it stands and goes deeper into the embodiment of the human's fates and innercourse. Such displacement of aesthetics results in the standpoint of envisaging the severe reality and disclosing the true nature being put on the shock level of human emotions and spirits, thus making the film the most important mark of the artistic mature of one age. It is the true reflection of reality that sends the Chinese film to walk up to the world, also to the film modernization.
