Abstract: Quite a lot of scholars, Dutch scholar Van Dijk among others, have concerned attentively the discourse analysis of news texts, and achieved success. But the research has two limitations: there exists barrier between discourse analysis and news communication; discourse analysis is restricted by lingulstics. The paper elaborates points between them: discourse analysis adapts to the characteristic of news communication; news communication highlights objectivity and inclusiveness of discourse analysis.
