Study on Laozi's Sage in Bambooslips Excavated from Guodian Chu Tomb

Abstract: Lao Dan thinks of Sage as a symbol of Dao (Way) to his realm of life and personality; Zi Si and Mencius made it possible for common people to be a Sage; common edition of Laozi endowed it with the meaning of political trickery. Taoism, Confucianism and Legalism combine to form the mainstream of Chinese culture.
