Abstract: There are three factors in garden prosperity in Wu region in Yuan and Ming dynasties: advocating elegant styles, the influence of immigrant culture and Wu's aesthetic attitudes, the proudness over national culture, which stimulate the construction of gardens and put more cultural factors in the garden landscape and garden events.
