Abstract: While Aristotle’s “middleclass” government of ancient Greek citystate derivates from his idealist design of politics, his highly praised concepts of the “middle class” such as reason and mean also serves as a theoretical foil for the establishment of the system. In fact, this “middleclass” government is not only a subjective product characteristic of apriority and utopianism, but also has extreme strong classconsciousness. Thus it is not proper for applying his “middleclass” theory to the value judgment of current middle class.
Key words: government, reason, mean, middle class
