Abstract: Abstract: As a reading note to the literary history, this essay describes Abeno Nakamaro's astonishing experiences in China as well as his Chinese poems and Waka creation. The author not only points out that his two pieces of Waka in the Chinese version have actually been mistaken as the "Chinese poems" but also indicates the fact that, at the Edo Period, while he was accused for betraying his country, he was praised highly. And at the present time, people both in China and in Japan miss him badly.
