Abstract: Point time has always been regarded as a paradoxical concept in philosophy. But in the modern western history, it has actually undergone detours and complicated transformations. From the distinction and conflict of public time and private time to the “simultaneity” and the “duration” of the present, the point of present itself has shown a variety of cultural and philosophical connotations. In the background of the recent accelerated society, the point now appears under a surprisingly “uncoupling” form. Considered from these perspectives, Deleuze’s three syntheses of time have been reinterpreted and then open up possible ways to transcend accelerated time.
