Abstract: Abstract： As a generic term, the Chineselanguage film refers to the film produced by the Chinese people who live in the Chinese mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao and oversea areas. In the last 20 years of the 20th century, a new generation of the Chineselanguage film directors in the above areas has grown up by reason of their cultural features of modernity and realized a century of cultural integration. Up to the first few years of the new century, after producing such films as Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon, Heroes, and The War of the Red Cliff, the Chineselanguage film has entered into the period of the "postbigfilm". Under the grim context of globalization, it is an imminent task for the Chineselanguage films to cognize their existing realistic environment so as to promote their good, harmonious, durative development in industry and culture.
