Abstract: This paper, by using constructivist teaching and learning theory, discusses the taskoriented pedagogy and its pedagogical implications for college English teaching. The experimental result shows that the pedagogy has been proved workable and effective. As it emphasizes the process involving language activities and its application, the taskoriented pedagogy plays a vital role in building up students' schema and improving their language ability.
