Abstract： Qian Weichang's educational thoughts are Qian Weichang's theoretical invention on higher education in the socialist construction, and the practice results in the long exploration of the development road of the socialist modernizational universities by the faculty and leaders of Shanghai University. Profoundly understanding his educational thoughts and comprehensively reviewing the reform practice led by President Qian Weichang are the key to foster the spirit of constantly striving for selfperfection.
